Barry Lungu (Born 1972) Zimbabwean, Oil on Canvas. Depicts women harvesting from a field with mountains in the distance. Signed and dated '00 bottom left. Framed.
Overall Size: 31 1/2 x 38 3/4 in.
Sight Size: 26 1/2 x 34 in.
Barry Lungu was born in Zimbabwe in 1972, part of the first generation of post-independence artists. Primarily self-taught, he has become one of the most proficient genre and scene artists in his country, capturing everyday city and countryside life and vocations in vibrant colors. Based out of a studio in Harare, he continues to produce new paintings in acrylics and oils that have made their way into the international market and collections around the world since the 2010s.
