This exquisite tonal landscape was done by Bruce Crane and is titled "Month of November". Crane was born in New York City and became a popular landscape painter who did many fall and winter scenes. He studied art in New York City and Europe and was influenced by the French Barbizon School of painting. He had his own studio in Old Lyme, Connecticut and painted in the Hamptons on Long Island and in the Catskills and Adirondacks of New York. His paintings are found at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the National Gallery of Art and the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C., among others. Signed in the lower right.
