Carlos Cartagena (Born 1960) Guatemala, Lithograph Pin-Up of Hawaiian Girl. A classic mid-century pin-up illustration featuring a blonde woman in a colorful bikini and floral hair accessory, rendered in a smooth, airbrushed style and set within a bold red frame. Signed lower right. Framed.

Carlos Cartagena (Born 1960) is a Guatemalan-born American airbrush and pin-up artist best known for his highly detailed illustrations of women, custom motorcycle artwork, and commercial art featured in publications such as Playboy, Penthouse, and Abercrombie & Fitch Quarterly. Born on April 29, 1960, in Guatemala City, Cartagena moved to the United States in 1981 and spent years developing his craft while working various jobs before becoming a professional illustrator in the early 1990s. He gained recognition for painting murals on leather jackets and Harley-Davidson motorcycles, eventually establishing an international reputation for glamorous, retro-inspired pin-up imagery that blends technical precision with sensual realism.
