German Frosted Art Glass Lead Crystal Squirrel Sculpture. Frosted art glass sculpture of a long-eared squirrel standing atop a tree stump. Labeled on base: Lead Crystal / 24% PbO / GERMANY.
Condition: Good.
Size: 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 x 4 in.
Lead crystal is a type of glass that contains lead oxide, typically ranging from 18% to 40%, which enhances its clarity, brilliance, and refractive properties. Renowned for its sparkling appearance and ability to be finely cut or engraved, lead crystal has been used for centuries to create decorative objects, tableware, and chandeliers.
