- Lot Description
Heavy sterling cuff bracelet with etched scrimshaw depicting the Meriwether Post 1931 yacht "Sea Cloud". Originally launched as a private yacht as "Hussar V" for Ms. Post, it then served as a weather ship for the US Coast Guard and then for the US Navy in WWII. It then returned to private use before becoming a cruise ship in 1979. 3.79 ozt. with scrimshaw, the cuff has heavy relief design of an eye on each side of the scrimshaw. Marked DLH. Proceeds from this sale will benefit students at the FSU/Asolo Conservatory.
