Judy Buswell (20th Century) American, Watercolor Landscape with Cows. Watercolor painting, signed and dated 1987, depicting a serene rural scene of Holstein cows grazing in a fenced pasture near a barn. Sighed lower right. Framed.

Judy Buswell is an American artist who began painting at age 40 and quickly became one of the best‑selling contemporary watercolor painters known for her vivid, warmly expressive floral and garden scenes. Originally a nurse practitioner, she came from an artistic family and, after dedicated study and experimentation with watercolor techniques, launched her own greeting card business in 1987, selling over a million cards within just a few years and building a portfolio of hundreds of prints that appeal widely for their bright colors and nostalgic charm. Her work celebrates universally loved themes like flowers, gardens, and familiar outdoor imagery, and is cherished by collectors for evoking personal memories, dreams, and serene emotional resonance through deceptively simple yet heartfelt compositions.
