Korean Chest With Elaborate Brass Mounts. Top opens for a narrow large storage area for necklaces or other smaller items. Two small and one larger bottom drawer pull out from the bottom for deeper storage options.
This antique wooden chest, likely of East Asian origin, features a rich, dark-stained hardwood body accented with ornate brass fittings. Its design includes a lift-top lid, cabinet-style doors, and decorative shaped feet. The intricate brass hardware, including a traditional hasp lock and cloud-shaped escutcheons, reflects classic Asian craftsmanship. With visible signs of age and patina, this piece was likely used for storing valuables or personal items and remains a striking example of functional, ornamental furniture.
