Michael Godard (born 1963) American, Hand Painted Resin Sculpture "No Refunds". Limited-edition sculpture titled "NO REFUNDS" features a whimsical, fruit-headed gangster duo, with an olive-headed figure in a pinstripe suit holding a money bag alongside a strawberry-headed companion in a white flapper-style dress. Numbered 77/500 on base.
Size: 7 x 8 1/2 x 10 1/2 in.
Michael Godard (born 1963) is an American painter known for his vibrant, whimsical, and often humorous "lowbrow" art featuring anthropomorphic olives, fruits, and martinis. He studied at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas and the Art Center College of Pasadena, where he worked as a bartender and began doodling on napkins. These doodles became his signature style after he spent months painting while keeping vigil for his daughter, who was battling brain cancer. Despite facing criticism from the art world, his work has achieved immense commercial success, earning him the nickname "The Rockstar of the Art World." His art adorns everything from pinball machines to bar decorations, and he frequently participates in residencies on cruise ships and in hotels worldwide. Godard is also a dedicated philanthropist, donating significant sums to cancer-related charities and using his public platform to advocate for art education and cancer awareness.
