  Peter Bell (Born 1969) American, Massive Oil of Canvas Impressionist Harbor Scene. Large-scale, impressionistic oil painting on canvas depicting a tropical harbor filled with sailboats and palm trees, framed in a classic mahogany-finished wood frame with a gold inner lip. Signed lower left. Framed.

  Peter Bell is an American artist born in 1969 in Washington, D.C., whose work is known for its vibrant, often idyllic scenes that blend bold color and light to evoke Mediterranean and coastal landscapes. He began drawing and painting in grammar school, served in the U.S. Navy, and later studied at the Brooklyn Museum Art School and the National Art School in Washington, D.C. Bell’s early career included commercial art and illustration before he established himself as a full‑time painter and teacher, building a studio in Florida and exhibiting widely; his works are held in many private collections and have earned him several awards for their expressive brushwork and evocative sense of place.
