Schlesinger (1915-2011) American, Limited Edition Architectural Serigraph Print "Serenity". Minimalist architectural print featuring a prominent white domed structure and geometric buildings set against a solid blue background, marked as an artist's proof (A/P 24/24).
Overall Size: 26 3/4 x 26 in.
M. William Schlesinger (1915 – 2011) was an American painter and printmaker who combined architectural imagination with refined draftsmanship in a style he described as “stylized realism,” producing distinctive oil paintings, watercolors and limited-edition serigraph prints that have been exhibited across Europe, North America, the Far East and Australia. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Pratt Institute and a Master of Fine Arts from Columbia University, and after founding and chairing the Art, Advertising and Graphic Arts Department at the State University of New York, he devoted the rest of his career to his art, earning recognition for inventive compositions that often explore structured forms with expressive color and nuanced detail.
