WWI Brass Two-Tone Mortar Artillery Shell Casing. Two-tone brass shell casing from WWI trench mortar.
World War I mortar shell casings are prized collector’s items that offer a tangible connection to the Great War’s history and technological evolution. Often made from brass or steel, these casings were sometimes repurposed after the war into trench art—elaborately engraved or embossed pieces created by soldiers or civilians as keepsakes or memorials.
