Five 18th century maps by Antonio Zatta from his 1748 atlas entitled "Atlante Novissimo". An assembled set of five of the original twelve plates, include Plate I: "Il paese de' selvaggi Outauacesi...", Plate II: "La Parte Occidentale della Nuova Francia...", Plate IV: "Il Paese De' Selvaggi Outagamiani..., "Plate V: "La Pensilvania, la Nuova York..." and Plate VI: "L'Acadia, Le Provincie Di Sagadahook...". Hand-colored engravings on paper. Depicts the Northeastern region of the United States including Pennsylvania, New York, Northern Jersey, and parts of Connecticut, Massachusetts, the Midwest and the Iroquois territory. Unframed, all with toning and minor staining, discoloration and strengthening at centerfolds, (plate II with small holes at fold), minor edge imperfections some short edge tears (plate 5 with a 1 1/2" fold along left edge).
