After John Woodhouse Audubon, American, 1812-1862. An 1840's hand-colored lithograph, titled "Ursus Americanus, Pallas (Cinnamon Bear)". No. 26, Plate CXXVII, from The Imperial Folio Edition of John James Audubon and John Bachman's "The Viviparous Quadrupeds of North America", New York: V.G. Audubon, 1845-1848. Titled lower center, printed in the plate "Drawn from Nature by J. W. Audubon" lower left and "Lith. Printed & Col[d]. by J.T. Bowen. Philad[a]. 1847" lower right. Includes a sales receipt from "K.A. Sheets Rare Books" Ann Arbor, Michigan. Some toning and discoloration, 3/4" tear to lower left edge of sheet. Image 25 1/2 x 19 1/2" high on a 27 1/4 x 21 1/4" high sheet, in a molded wood frame, 33 1/4 x 27 3/4" high overall. ESTIMATE $2,000-3,000 Condition
