Two turn of the century American transitional wood golf clubs. Includes a Bridgeport Gun Implement Co. driver c. 1890-1905, and a Spalding Model "V" driver c. 1900-1905. Each with hickory shaft and leather grip, wood head with horn sole and face inserts having three and five wooden pegs and lead backweight. BGI marked "BGI & Co Trademark at crown, Spalding with Baseball "Spalding" mark and "Model V" at crown. Older finish with minor wear, some surface wear, BGI with darkened finish, shrinkage to leather grip and detached whipping, Spalding with replaced grip. BGI club head is 3 1/4" long with 39" playing length, Spalding club head is 3 1/4" long with 43" playing length. ESTIMATE $50-100
