A large 20th century Inuit carved Whale bone figure of a mother and two children from the Naujaat (Repulse Bay) hamlet, Kivalliq Region, Canada. Includes the original 1971 purchase receipt from "Innuit Gallery of Eskimo Art" in Toronto, and a customs certificate from "Eskimo Fine Arts" in Ottawa both citing the artist as "Evaluarjuk", possibly Henry Evaluardjuk (Inuit, Igloolik, 1923-2007). Partially legible signature in syllabics at front of base. Cracks throughout, damage to portion of bottom edge. Approx. 15 x 11 x 22 1/2" high overall. ESTIMATE $800-1,200
