Two early 20th century American wood golf clubs. Includes a Spalding Model 16 spoon club c. 1920, and a "Jimmie Spencer" club attributed to Hillerich & Bradsby c. 1920. Each with hickory shaft and leather grip, wood head with horn sole and face inserts having three wooden pegs and lead backweight. Spalding marked "AG Spalding Bro. / Model 16" at crown, Spencer marked "Jimmie Spencer / Spencer" within an " O" cleek mark attributed to Hillerich & Bradsby and "EBE S" owner's initials. Older finish with minor wear, some surface wear, Spalding with looses to whipping. Spalding club is head 3 3/4" long with approx. 42 1/2" playing length, Spencer club head is 4" long with approx. 39" playing length. ESTIMATE $50-100
