Stuart, n.d. late 19th century American nautical scene. Oil on academy board (by F. W. DeVoe, New York). Depicts two transitional sail/steam ships at sea, one flying an American flag. Signed "Stuart" lower left. Some surface grunge. Image 17 1/2" x 23 3/4", in the original gilded frame 25 1/4' x 31 1/4" overall. ESTIMATE $1,000-2,000
