A mid 20th century U.S. Navy officer's sword and scabbard with leather carrying case, the 30in blade made in Solingen, Germany, damascened with "USN", patriotic and nautical symbols and foliate and floral patterns, trademark for Hilborn Hamburger Inc., New York on base, ray skin handle with gilt wire wrapping and fancy gilt brass hilt, black leather scabbard with fancy gilt metal fittings, fitted outer leather carrying case
Condition
excellent condition, many of these blades had monograms or the name of the officer who was issued the sword on the blade, this one does not; dimensions listed of sword and scabbard (not outer case); sold as is; ACCESSORIES: Scabbard, Leather Case: circa 1940, 36in x 5in x 3in
