Presented here is a striking Kobe Bryant signed and inscribed full ticket from his thrilling 81-point performance. On January 22, 2006, the Los Angeles Lakers hosted Toronto at Staples Center for a regular season game that would become legendary for Kobe Bean Bryant. With the Raptors leading 71-53 at halftime, Bryant went into full "Mamba" mode, scoring from every angle and single-handedly dragging the Lakers into the lead by the end of the third quarter. There was nothing Jalen Rose or any of his Raptors teammates could do to stop #8.
“He was ticked off,” recalled Lamar Odom. Kobe later added, “It's about the ‘W,’ that's why I turned it on.” He made 28 of 46 field goals including 7 for 13 from three and went 18-20 at the line to finish with a career-high 81. It remains the second highest scoring mark in NBA history behind Wilt Chamberlain's 100-point game in 1962. There were 18,997 fans in attendance that night at Staples to witness Kobe’s greatest individual feat, leaving few unused tickets from the historic game. This is one of them, and it is blessed with Kobe’s signature.
The Los Angeles Lakers full box office ticket displays moderate wear with vibrant colors on the front and a clean reverse. Kobe has signed his full name boldly on the white panel in black marker with “81 PTS” inscribed. The ungraded ticket has been slabbed Authentic and appears in VG to EX condition. Kobe’s autograph earned a perfect 10 grade from PSA/DNA. Also comes with Panini COA and Beckett LOA for Kobe's signature.
There are 183 unsigned fulls and 28 signed versions in the PSA population report. A dozen other duals have an Authentic ticket grade, but there can’t be more than a few other 10 autos. Considering the ambiguity of ticket grading standards, we stand behind this as arguably the finest example in the hobby with an immaculate Kobe signature and the key inscription.
