After acting in other people’s films, Bruce Lee’s biggest desire was to direct his own movies. He would finally reach that goal in 1972 with his “The Way of the Dragon,” but several years earlier he began work on another film that was never completed. Not much is known about “The Blind Swordsman,” but several still images survive from the aborted project. This dramatic black and white image shows Lee as the film’s title character, striking a bare-chested pose before a brick wall. A little-known and very rare part of Bruce Lee’s storied career. The front of the photo shows some surface abrasions, and the reverse has a catalog number written in black marker. The 3.5" by 5" photograph has been encapsulated as Type 1 by PSA/DNA.
