- Lot Description
A star-studded roster of the 1992 Toronto Blue Jays, including Dave Winfield, Joe Carter, Devon White, Roberto Alomar, and John Olerud paved the way for future athletes within the organization to strive to greatness. The '92 squad finished the regular season with a 96-66 record, enough to finish first in the A.L. East. In the ALCS, the Blue Jays were up against the Oakland A's and finished them off in six games to make their first-ever World Series appearance in franchise history. The Blue Jays would beat the Atlanta Braves, 4-2, in a best-of-seven series to accomplish the first World Series title north of the border!
This lot offers a stunning 1992 Toronto Blue Jays World Series Championship 14K gold ring with its original Tiffany & Co. box. The ring was presented to a Scout for the Blue Jays in 1992, which is noted with the last name "MCLURE" on the left shank, along with the American League logo, and 4,028,318 (franchise record), denoting the season's attendance total. The right shank features the '92 World Series logo, "TORONTO BLUE JAYS" and "CANADA 1ST" as a nice touch. Authentic diamonds surround the Blue Jays logo on the face of the ring with a larger center diamond as the main focal piece. A bright red Canadian maple leaf is also present on the face. "TIFFANY & CO 14K" is stamped on the inner band, denoting the rings makeup. Size 9.5.
