- Lot Description
Presented here is a Spalding NBA All Surface Basketball with an early Kobe Bryant full-name autograph dating to the early 2000's when he and Shaq were in the midst of competing the vaunted 3-Peat with the Los Angeles Lakers. Bryant signed the well-kept ball, made of composite leather, in black marker above the Spalding logo for nice eye appeal. The fact that he added his last name helps date the autograph and puts this ball in rare company as almost all other examples in the hobby are simply "Kobe."
Not many have matched Kobe's accomplishments on the court, as well as his status as a global icon and ambassador for the game of basketball. For those scoring at home, Bryant finished his career with 18 All-Star Appearances, the 2008 MVP Trophy, 4 All-Star Game MVPs, 5 NBA Championships, and 2 NBA Final MVPs. One of the most decorated athletes to ever play the sport! The signature has been authenticated by PSA/DNA (B14802) with a cert sticker identified in the PSA database.
