The Kobe Two holds a special place in sneaker history as one of the most unique and controversial shoes ever created for basketball. Released in 2001, it was the second signature shoe made for the legendary Kobe Bryant, following his initial partnership with Adidas. However, the Kobe Two didn't have the same level of immediate commercial success or fanfare as its predecessors. Despite this, its cultural significance has grown over the years, especially as Bryant's career progressed and his impact on the sneaker world solidified.
One of the rare aspects of the Adidas Kobe Two is its limited availability, especially in certain colorways and models. While the shoe didn’t achieve the massive commercial success of some other iconic sneakers, it has become a collector’s item, particularly autographed pairs by Kobe Bryant himself. As Bryant's career continued to skyrocket with the Lakers, his association with the shoe became more valuable.
This lot offers a Kobe Bryant autographed 'Kobe Two' Adidas sneakers with its original Adidas box. The Adidas size 14 tagging is still affixed to the brand new sneaker. Bryant autographed boldly in silver permanent marker for excellent appeal. The signature has been certified by PSA/DNA.
