The “witches hat” design, with its wide bell and tapering form, was among the earliest styles and remains highly recognizable today. Brass horns, especially oversized examples, were favored for their volume and projection, making them suitable for parlors, theaters, and public halls. These horns represent a key development in early sound technology and remain decorative symbols of the phonograph era.
