History:
Fry Foval was a decorative line produced by the Fry Glass Company, active in Rochester, Pennsylvania, during the early 20th century. Known for its innovative use of color-infused pressed glass, Fry developed proprietary formulas to create opalescent and jade-like finishes. The Foval line often featured Art Deco influences and was sometimes enhanced with silver overlay—typically applied by outside decorators using acid-etch techniques. These pieces reflect the company’s emphasis on craftsmanship and experimentation with decorative glass during the American Art Glass movement.
