Champleve French Hour-repeating Carriage Clock, c. 1890, brass and beveled glass case with champleve arabic numeral dial and spade hands, champleve panels on sides of gilt and enamel insets, rear door of beveled glass and hinged for access to winding and setting, eight-day time, strike, and repeating carriage clock with bell strike and platform escapement, ht. 5 1/2 in. with handle lowered.
Movements starts briskly on winding, repeats as designed, back door frame repaired, no chips or breakage on any glass, appears to be the original silvered platform escapement.
