Cherry High Chest of Drawers, Massachusetts, c. 1740-60, the molded top above an upper case of five graduated thumb-molded drawers, set into a lower section of long drawer above three short drawers, and valanced skirt joining cabriole legs ending in pad feet, ht. 73, lower case wd. 38, dp. 18 in.
There are no major restorations or repairs. there is a repaired crack/minor break to one foot, some damage and cracks to thumbmolding, some shrinkage to moldings and minor warp, and the backboards are somewhat crude. All of these are what we would classify as imperfections, and generally minor ones.
