Custom Engraved and Carved Fabrique National Bolt Action Rifle, c. mid-20th century, serial number 787,.375 caliber, carved stock with foliate designs, and lion heads at the top of each side of the wrist, checkered pistol grip and handguard, diamond bone inlays on each side, receiver marked FN with FAB. NAT. D'ARMES DE GUERRE HERSTAL-BELGIQUE, floor plate is engraved with foliate designs and gold inlaid lion, barrel lg. 24 3/4, overall lg. 44 1/2 in.
Provenance: Built by Kurt Jaeger and brought back from Germany by the consignor after his service in the military during the mid to late 1950s.
Gun is in overall very good condition with no dings and nicks in the stock, and slight wear on the bolt.
