Signed "G.L. Noyes" l.r., titled in pencil on the stretcher, identified on a label from Vose Galleries of Boston affixed to the frame backing.
Oil on canvas, 25 x 30 in. (63.5 x 76.5 cm), in a signed and dated (1936) Carrig-Rohane frame with a Hermann Dudley Murphy "m" monogram within the date.
Condition: Lined, retouch primarily to sky.

Frame inventory number is "#5959."
The title on the stretcher begins "The Valley" and the inscription seems to continue, perhaps with the word "Veil," followed by words and numbers now illegible.
