• Lot Description
  Gerry Williams (1926-2014) "Inside Outside Form" Studio Pottery Vase, New Hampshire, c. 1978, slab and coil built, octagonal top set on eight-pointed section, round base, incised geometric decoration, green, blue, and metallic back glazes, unmarked, ht. 16 in.
  
  Note: Williams was a nationally and internationally recognized master craftsman, teacher, lecturer, and author. He was the founder of The Studio Potter, a nonprofit membership organization, and editor of The Studio Potter Magazine, a journal about the aesthetics, technology, and history of pottery and about the personal lives of ceramic artists. On February 19, 1998, he was appointed as New Hampshire's first Artist Laureate by Governor Jeanne Shaheen. (New Hampshire State Council on the Arts)
