Hardwood Display Cabinet, China, 19th century, for export, with two glass paneled doors, glass panels at the side, a solid back, and a narrow drawer at the bottom, the top of the cabinet rising up to a flat rectangular peak, inlaid with a celadon jade plaque carved with a dish of fruit, birds, lotus flowers, and a ruyi-head, the upper panel of the doors mounted with celadon jade plaques carved with stylized phoenixes, the lower panel of the doors mounted with hardstone carvings ranging in color from russet to pale celadon and depicting floral motifs, the drawer carved with cranes, an auspicious peach, and a tree, with a green stone handle, 30 3/4 x 16 1/8 x 14 3/4 in.
