Late Victorian Hand-painted Demilune Table, late 19th/early 20th century, predominantly black with gilding, with overall polychrome hues and bronze palmette edge to the surface decorated with green and white, accented with circle motif and a garland of flowers, surmounting a frieze of oak leaves and acorns, on tapered legs with metal-mounted feet, ht. 31 7/8, wd. 46 3/4, dp. 20 3/4 in.
Overall loss to painted surfaces and gilding, with lifting of mount on apron toward left side, missing two rosettes, nicks and abrasions to wood, signs of wear appropriate with age and use.
