Model 1816 Flintlock Musket, c. 1822, walnut stock with two cartouche marks on the left side, steel fittings, the tail of the lockplate is marked SPRING/FIELD/1822, and has an eagle over US in front of the hammer, barrel tang marked 1822, barrel lg. 42, overall lg. 57 1/2 in.
Some dings and nicks in the stock, steel parts have some patina, barrel tang screw is a modern replacement.
