Model 1861 Percussion Rifle-musket with Bayonet and Scabbard, c. 1864, walnut stock with cartouche marks on the left side, and a white painted I 20 also on the right side of the butt, tail of the lockplate dated 1864 and marked U.S./TRENTON in front of the hammer, barrel dated 1864 with proof marks and NJ, steel fittings, bayonet in brass-tipped leather scabbard, barrel lg. 40, overall lg. 55 1/2 in.

Walnut stock with somne dings, nicks, and a few small cracks near wrist, steel parts have some scattered patina and a few pits, scabbard in very good condition.
