Needlework Sampler "Ann Gardner," reportedly Stonington, Connecticut, 1816, worked in threads on a linen ground, incorporating alphanumeric lines above a large pictorial ground with tulip, baskets of flowers, birds, a brick house, and trees, all centering the maker's name, (fading and toning), 17 1/2 x 10 1/2 in., floated in a modern black frame.
