DeCharmes Quarter-repeating Table Clock, London, c. 1715, the elmwood veneered case with dome top, four brass finials and carrying handle, brass beaded door with sound vents and glazed opening to reveal the 6-in. composite brass dial with faux pendulum and silvered name boss marked S. DeCharmes/London, Roman numeral chapter ring with quarter, half, and half-quarter markings, matted center, ringed winding holes, regulation dial in the arch with recessed silvered starburst and calibrated to "60," recessed date dial, cast spandrels and blued-steel hands, eight-day time and rack strike five-pillar movement with pull quarter, six-bell repeat on command, fusee, verge escapement and fully engraved back plate, ht. with handle extended 17 in.
Clock is in clean and running condition, quarter pull repeat functions as designed, dial beautifully silvered, minor imperfections on veneer.
