• Lot Description
  A Regence / Louis XV-Style, gilt-bronze-mounted kingwood and marquetry tall-case grandfather clock, 19th Century. After a Model by Charles Cressent (French, 1685-1768). A fine palatial clock, with nice quality gilt-bronze mounts throughout, with a figural putti on top. The dial signed Balthazar twice, several mounts bearing a C couronnée stamp. Measure: 100" high x 22" wide x 22" deep Condition: Please note we do not guarantee clock movements. Scuffs, losses, and wear commensurate with age. Minor rubbing and tarnishing to gilt bronze mounts.
