Glazed earthenware jug with flaring rim and single handle, decorated in yellow, blue and green colors. One side depicts a profile portrait of a soldier in uniform within a decorated medallion, the reverse with large floral motifs, (contains some cracking throughout the vessel but remains structurally sound). Ht. 13 ½, dia. 11 in. Published: Ceramica y Cultura: The Story of Spanish and Mexican Majolica, fig. 1.20. Provenance: The Larry Frank collection, Arroyo Honda, NM.
