26th Dynasty, circa 6th century B.C., blue faience, the large figure of Psamtek, the son of Sabonetket, with ten lines of hieroglyphic inscriptions, mounted on custom base. These are some of the most sought after of shabtis, renowned for their brilliant blue glaze. Neatly rejoined at shins, otherwise in fine condition. Ht. 7 in. 17.8 cm. ht. with base 7 7/8 in. 20 cm.
