- Lot Description
Stylemys nebrascensis, Oligocene period (37-24 mya), South Dakota, a finely detailed, nicely inflated tortoise with several leg bones. Preparation consisted of dirt and calcite removal only, no grinding, which is a common practice with turtle fossils. Lg. 8, wd. 6 1/2 in.
