- Lot Description
Inset with a series of nine wool cloth panels, three of exaggerated oval form in red, six of rectangular form in brown, probably with birchbark backing, decorated with classic foliate patterns, stitched in French knot, bristle and plain stitch moosehair embroidery techniques, in a variety of bright colors evenly faded to soft hues; green mohair velvet with metal upholstery tacks on the screen, silk braid as trim. Three larger panels 26 ¼ x 16 ¼ in. Six smaller panels 16 ½ x 12 ½ in.
