- Lot Description
North central coastal Peru, circa 400-600 A.D., constructed in two halves, finely chiseled silver flask, of circular form with a long spout at the top next to a handle on one side and monkey effigy on the other attached to the spout. The front features deity design elements and geometric motifs, with a simple back with repousse work. Natural patination from age. Ht. 6, wd. 3 in. Provenance: Private collection, Albuquerque, NM; Paul Shepard, Tucson, AZ.
