Roman period, circa 100 B.C. -100 A.D., the bi-chrome faience statuette of a woman kneeling on an oval, flat cushion and holding a child, reminiscent of New Kingdom milk vessels used in the healing of sick children, of the goddess Isis with Horus, on her back is the image of a boy kneeling on a neb sign ('lord' or 'owner'). Very rare. A few very small areas of infill otherwise intact. Ht. 3 3/4 in. 9.7 cm.
