• Lot Description

  Tlingit, 19th century, an early form with dark patina, hand-carved from dense hardwood with a rounded, bulbous head and tapered handle terminating in a flared base. Exhibits a smooth, worn surface from age and handling. Lg. 14 ½ in. Provenance: Private collection, Connecticut; Skinner, Boston, 2012, sale 2596B, lot 263; The Bear Totem store.
