Ursus ingressus, Late Pleistocene (100,000 - 10,000 ya), Drachenhohle Cave, Mixnitzer, Austria, larger even than Ursus spelaeus, this is an original skull from a rare species found in the 12 in. layer of the legendary Drachenhole. Ursus ingressus specimens are typified by enormous skulls with relatively small teeth and are only found in the caves of Austria's Mixnitzer region. Few were ever found, the last coming out in the 1960's. Provenance is included back to the 1950's. Just shy of 20 in. long, straight line measured, 12 in. Wide. Less than 10% restoration. Custom steel stand included.
