- Lot Description
19th century, crafted from rawhide and painted in vivid mineral pigments of red, blue, green, and yellow. Traditional Lakota geometric design elements executed in bold triangular and diamond motifs, the edges laced with sinew and the seams reinforced with trade cloth on the sides. The surface shows expected wear and patination from age and use, with minor scuffing and fading consistent with historical storage and handling. Ht. 8 ½, wd. 13 ½, lg. 10 ½ in.
