- Lot Description
Teke, probably cut from a large figure, the elongated neck rests on the abbreviated shoulders and chest, the neck with an incised band around the center, the narrow head with square beard below a crescent projection, the nose with deeply carved nostrils, the face painted with white kaolin, the narrow eyes under a heavy protruding brow, the crown with a disk and crescent headdress, (minor age cracks). Ht. 18 in.
