• Lot Description
  Oil on canvas. Dimensions: 105 × 49 cm. A complex composition in a vertical register and curvilinear format, where the glorified Christ presides over the celestial scene surrounded by angels, saints, and nuns, while a scene of Hell unfolds in the lower section. The dramatic use of clouds and light lends the scene a theological character of mystical exaltation. The colors are vibrant, with strong contrasts that reinforce the compositional dynamism. The signature in the form of the monogram FG suggests documented authorship within the viceregal school of New Spain.
