Commemorative Architectural Bronze Plaque: "Reverently Dedicated to the Memory of Moritz Jonas Rose, Co-Founder of Rose Brothers, in the Year 1887. Upon His High Business Principals of Fair Dealing the Progress of This Organization is Built". Signed lower left "Max Kalish, in Collaboration with Albert R. Louis". The brothers were Louis S. Rose, Moe Rose, and Morris (Moritz) Rose. They were born in Jurbakas, Lithuania and emigrated in the 1860s. They founded Rose Brothers, a men's trouser and suit manufacturing company on Broadway, and in the 1920s, a store on 7th Avenue.
