- Lot Description
"Maya Lin, New York City, 1988" gelatin silver photograph, pencil signed on mount, and numbered 13/100. In black metal box frame, matted and glazed, OS: 24" x 28", SS: 12 3/4" x 18 3/4". Fine condition. The most famous portrait of the young designer of the National Vietnam Memorial in Washington D.C. A print of this was removed from the National Portrait Gallery, Smithsonian collection, by the photographer Dec 2010 in protest over arts censorship.
